Sista Joy Story
Sista Joy Francis was a devoted wife, mother, seamstress, Sunday school teacher, and community mentor in the Alexandria District of Clarendon, Jamaica. She used her knowledge and skills to help others learn, grow, and become more self-reliant. Through education, sewing, mentorship, and service to her community, she left a legacy that continues to inspire the work of the Sista Joy Francis Community Education Foundation today
A Message from the Founder
The Sista Joy Francis Community Education Foundation was created out of a desire to honor my mother’s vision and her lifelong commitment to helping, teaching, and training young people.
My mother believed in giving youth the opportunity to learn practical skills, develop confidence, and become better prepared for their future. Her example of service, compassion, and dedication to others continues to inspire the work of this foundation.
Through education, professional training, youth development, and community programs, we hope to continue the work she cared so deeply about and create opportunities that can make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and their families.
I am grateful to everyone who supports this mission and helps us carry her vision forward.
